About These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of MiniCPM-OCR ("we", "us"), the text recognition service available at minicpm-ocr.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use MiniCPM-OCR.

The Service

MiniCPM-OCR extracts text from documents you upload. You can upload an image (PNG, JPG, WEBP, BMP or GIF) or a PDF of up to 20 MB and up to 100 pages. Recognition runs on the MiniCPM-OCR 1.0 document model, and the result is returned as Markdown, plain text and JSON with layout blocks. MiniCPM-OCR is an independent service and is not operated by the developers of the MiniCPM-OCR 1.0 model.

We may change, improve or remove parts of the service over time. If a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you before it takes effect.

Accounts

You need an account to use MiniCPM-OCR. You can sign up with an email address and password, which requires verifying your email, or sign in with Google. You must give accurate information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at support@minicpm-ocr.com if you believe someone else has accessed it.

Credits and Payment

MiniCPM-OCR is a paid service. There is no free tier and no free credits.

Credits. 1 credit processes 1 page. An image counts as 1 page; a PDF uses 1 credit per page.
Subscriptions. Monthly and yearly subscriptions grant credits each month. Unused subscription credits expire at the end of each monthly cycle and do not carry over.
Credit packs. One-time credit packs never expire.
Failed extractions. If an extraction fails, the credits it used are refunded to your balance automatically.
Refunds. If a payment is refunded, the credits it granted that are still unused are removed from your balance.
Cancellation. You can cancel a subscription at any time from your billing settings. It stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for and then does not renew.
Payment processing. Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.

Prices are shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.

Your Documents

You keep all rights to the documents you upload and to the text extracted from them. You may use the output for any purpose, including commercial use.

This site does not keep your uploaded files. Each file is sent to our document-processing partner only to process that request. The extracted text is kept in your History for 15 days so you can view and download it again, and is then deleted automatically. You can delete a result earlier at any time. Download anything you want to keep, because we cannot recover it after deletion.

By uploading a document, you confirm that you own it or have the right to process it, and you give us permission to handle it only as needed to return the result to you.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

upload documents you do not have the right to process, or content that is illegal;
try to bypass credit limits, payment or account restrictions, or obtain credits you have not paid for;
overload, disrupt, probe or reverse engineer the service, or access it by automated means in a way that harms other users;
resell or redistribute access to the service or its API;
use the service to infringe the rights of others or break any law.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Accuracy of Results

OCR output can contain errors, including misread characters, missing text or incorrect layout. Always review results before relying on them, especially for legal, medical or financial purposes. You are responsible for how you use the output.

Our Intellectual Property

The MiniCPM-OCR website, software, branding and design belong to us. The MiniCPM-OCR 1.0 model belongs to its developers and is used under their terms. These Terms give you the right to use the service as described here and do not transfer any ownership of it to you.

Suspension and Termination

You can stop using MiniCPM-OCR at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if your use puts the service or other users at risk. Credits are tied to your account and have no cash value.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, MiniCPM-OCR is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or business. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
