Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information MiniCPM-OCR ("we", "us") collects when you use minicpm-ocr.com, how we use it and the choices you have. The short version: we keep what we need to run your account and billing, we do not keep the documents you upload, and we delete extracted text after 15 days.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign up with email and password, we store your name, email address and a secure hash of your password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We also record whether your email address has been verified.

Session information. When you are signed in, we keep session records so you stay logged in. These can include your IP address and browser details, which help us protect your account.

Payment and credit records. We keep records of your subscriptions, purchases, credit balance and credit usage. Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. We receive confirmation of the payment and basic details such as the plan and amount, but we never see or store your full card number.

Usage data. If analytics is enabled, we collect aggregated information about how the site is used, such as pages visited and the general region or device type. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Messages you send us. If you email support@minicpm-ocr.com, we keep the conversation so we can help you.

Your Documents and Extracted Text

This site does not keep the files you upload. When you submit an image or PDF, it is sent to our document-processing partner only to process that request; the partner deletes processing output within 24 hours and keeps uploads only as its own data rules require.

The extracted text (Markdown, plain text and JSON) is stored for 15 days so you can open and download it again from your History page. After 15 days it is deleted automatically, together with the record of the job. You can delete a result earlier from your History page. We do not use your documents or results to train models and we do not sell them.

We cannot recover uploads, and we cannot recover results after they are deleted. Download anything you want to keep.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

create and secure your account and verify your email;
process your documents and return results;
process payments, grant and track credits, and refund credits for failed extractions;
send service emails, such as verification and billing messages;
answer support requests;
understand overall site usage and improve the service;
prevent fraud, abuse and attempts to bypass credits;
meet legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run MiniCPM-OCR, and only as needed for their role:

a hosting provider that runs the website and stores account data;
a document-processing partner that processes each uploaded file for the duration of the request;
a payment processor that handles purchases and subscriptions;
an email provider that delivers account and billing emails;
an analytics provider, if analytics is enabled.

We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the service.

Data Retention

We keep account information while your account is open. Payment and credit records may be kept longer where required for tax, accounting or legal reasons. Session records expire after you sign out or after a period of inactivity. Uploaded files are not retained. Extracted text is deleted 15 days after the job finishes.

Security

We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access controls to protect your information. No online service can guarantee complete security, so please use a strong, unique password.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to object to certain uses. You can update your name and avatar in your account settings. To request a copy of your data or deletion of your account, email support@minicpm-ocr.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
